Ramona Stelzer

Ramona Stelzer paints flowers that refuse to sit still. Born and raised in Germany, she spent decades building a life before uprooting it entirely, relocating to California in her forties to start again. That act of reinvention now runs through everything she makes: layered, intuitive abstractions where floral forms bloom, fracture, and reassemble as studies in resilience.

Working from the San Francisco Bay Area, Stelzer builds her canvases through repeated layering, revision, and moments of surrender to the process itself, letting delicacy and structure argue with each other until something honest emerges. Her work has been featured in Vanity Fair UK, shown at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, and appeared on Netflix's Selling Sunset, alongside exhibitions across Los Angeles and San Francisco.

For Stelzer, a painting isn't a flower. It's permission: to grow, to change, and to bloom again.
